Neversoft director Brian Bright announced that Guitar Hero World Tour Xbox edition will be able to recognize Rock Band’s instruments. Auto configuration will be able to detect whether the drum plug-in is that of GH World Tour or Rock Band and make the necessary adjustments. This announcement currently applies solely to the Xbox platform. Playstation 3 folks will have to wait for word from Sony.

Yes, in case you haven’t heard, the rock and roll hall of famer Aerosmith is going to be not only featured in Guitar Hero…there will soon be a separate game of Guitar Hero with just their songs! Looks like there will be realistic looking Aerosmith characters in the game: Steven Tyler on the Vocals, Joe Perry on the Guitar, Tom Hamilton on the Bass, Brad Whitford on the Guitar, and last but not least Joey Kramer on the Drums.
