It depends what system your buying it for. Initially Rock Band 2 got all the better ratings. If you’re buying it on the Wii then I would check out getting Guitar Hero: World Tour. If you’re getting it on the Xbox 360 or PS3 then certainly head for Rock Band 2. It is a great game, and it is much more how you would say “polished” than Guitar Hero: World Tour is. Rock Band 2 is an overall great game, and Guitar Hero: World Tour has been said to have lots of problems. In addition, the song creator is said to be really complicated, and the sound quality is just terrible on the custom songs. Rock Band 2 is a really great buy, and you won’t regret it. But yet again, if this is being bought for the Wii then get Guitar Hero: World Tour because the Wii version of that game is said to be much better. If you’re getting it on PS2 then… meh get Rock Band 2.

Rock Band 2 rocks bro!
Guitar Hero World Tour is fun but the instruments can break down easily. I just got mine sent back.
Rock Band 2 is not as fun but the quality is there so you can have longer periods of enjoyment.
If you have to choose between the two, go for Rock Band 2.
