“Guitar Hero Hero (Beating Guitar Hero Does Not Make You Slash)” MC Lars teams up with Nerf Herder front man Parry Gripp, to comment on the notion that video games like Guitar Hero take kids away from playing in bands and actually learning their instruments. I play guitar, its on a different planet!

Even though I’m a major GH fan, I have to agree it’s nothing compared to real guitar!

you know nothing about guitar if you think that is as fast as Paul Gilbert gets

    you would be amazed

I agree…I hate games like Singstar and Guitar Hero.

    good old paul gibert

Yeah i spose i should just stop playing guitar hero totally and pick up a real guitar. While i am at it i’ll pick up a real gun too, and a real sword.

or then again maybe i’ll continue to play guitar hero in my spare time and continue programming, you know… a REAL job…

We can all insult eachother needlessly, get over yourselves. Also well impressed to see Gilbert in this video, he owns.

    haha touche my friend

Cheers man. I had no idea, found myself a new guitarist to bum.

2:20-ish, lol. He actually looks like some character out of Sims… cool song.

@JonnyOnly666 That’s Paul Gilbert. He doesn’t speed up solos, he slows down for them.

Go search up some Paul Gilbert, it will be fun

That solo looks and sounds sped up? (If i’m wrong about that correct me please) But speeding up solo’s doesn’t make you good at guitar either…? Otherwise loving the song :)

    God dammit.

Why are you so fucking smart Lars.

    Stop making me like you.

omg Paul Gilbert ( bows down in worship)

playing on groezrock doesn’t make you punk

I think this song is more directed at people who brag about their skills at guitar hero and most don’t play real guitar.

You’ll find a lot of more technical players have a hard time playing guitar hero because the chord shapes are way off and don’t make sense. Take We will rock you. WTH? No guitar until the end but there ya go, it has guitar parts on guitar hero.

I don’t get the whining over this video myself. It’s called satire for a reason.

I usually flame people who say shit like what’s in this video’s description, but I must admit this was pretty enjoyable.

Putting MC in front of your name doesn’t make you one.

And sure there are some fucking idiots who think that it is just like the real thing but their jsut fucking idiots and dont know shit about the real deal and lol

I lol at people who think this takes away from real guitar just because their stupid People who play cod are also in the army, people who play Gh or RB are also in real bands just look at every single band in the game most of them actually have played or have kids who play GH or RB its just like skate. or tony hawk they all do it for real as well. Flame me I dont give a fuck you cant prove me wrong cause its pure fact.

    Holy shit! It’s Paul Gilbert!

@EmptyNutShells Actually, near the end, he does say “play some guitar”. I know what you mean about people who play the game and think that they are Jimi Hendrix. I had some punk-ass kid say that “Slash and Tom Morello suck because I bet them on guitar hero” (when really both artists are perfectionist and practice for 8 hours a day). But what takes the cake is nerd who say “I bet “Through the fire and flames on expert!” Good for you, here’s an accrual guitar, go nuts!!! I really dispise that game

Haha this song is so true people do think they can play guitar because they lay guitar hero well.

I agree comepletely with you on everything, and I don’t like the song becase of it, having said that,…the solo is freakin’ awesome.

@EmptyNutShells Those are the people he’s talking about. Not necessarily everyone who plays GH.

Something to say?
